Panoramic Photos


When the views are too big for your viewfinder, I like trying to create panoramic photos by splicing together a few pictures. With digital cameras, it's easier than ever. In fact, you can do a websearch to find software that will piece the photos together for you. The picture above is 12 photos taken in Big Bend National Park (sorry, I can't remember which mountain we're at the top of, there).

The photo below is two pictures put together. El Capitan is on the left. I didn't use any fancy software here, just overlapped the photos in PhotoShop and adjusted the levels manually to make the colors match a little better.

Big Bend December 2005

Over Christmas break 2005, my father-in-law took me hiking in Big Bend National Park. I took tons of photos, but my computer broke down shortly after the trip. This weekend, I was able to recover the photos (and thousands of others) from that hard drive!!!
